6608 T1 port as network side?

I am trying to configure my 6608 T1 port as the network side. I have selected the Protocol Side to be Network but after the port registers I check the Device Configuration by clicking on the IP address of the port, and it states it is protocol - user even though Network is clearly configured. Can this port be configured as network side and if so what I am doing wrong?

you can do this as we are using 6608 T1 cards to connect between a Nortel PBX and our Call Manager environment.

What version of Call Manager are you using?

I've just checked our Call Manager cluster and I do see protocol Network when browsing the card using HTTP.

This could be a load issue or I have seen configuration correct in call Manager and not work.

Have you tried reloading the 6608 card or if you can't do that, have you tried reloading the port - not through Call Manager but through the 6500 series switch using CATOS commands.

TAC had me hard reset the card, not from Call Manager and this fixed the problem.
