Hi all,
Would like to know if CP-7942G is supported in Unified Presence 6.0?
According to "Hardware and Software Compatibility Information for Cisco Unified Presence Release 6.x", CP-7942G is not listed in the Compatibility table.
Kindly advice. Thanks!!

Hi Boon,
According to the SRND the 7942/7962 are supported;
Unified CM Call History Presence
Unified CM supports presence capabilities for call history lists (the Directories button on the phone). Call history list presence capabilities are controlled via the BLF for Call Lists Enterprise Parameter within Unified CM Administration. The BLF for Call Lists Enterprise Parameter impacts all pages using the phone Directories button (Missed, Received, and Placed Calls, Personal Directory, or Corporate Directory), and it is set on a global basis.
Presence capabilities for call history lists are supported for both SCCP and SIP on the following Cisco Unified IP Phones:
â¢Cisco Unified IP Phones 7941G, 7941G-GE, 7942G, and 7945G
â¢Cisco Unified IP Phones 7961G, 7961G-GE, 7962G, and 7965G
â¢Cisco Unified IP Phones 7970G, 7971G-GE, and 7975G
The Cisco Unified IP Phones 7905G, 7906G, 7911G, 7912G, 7940G, and 7960G do not support presence capabilities for call history lists.
From this CCM 6.x SRND Guide;
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/srnd/6x/presence.html#wp1043663
Hope this helps!

Hi Rob,
Thanks for your reply. However, you mentioned BLF which is the presence capability built-into the CUCM itself.
However, I would like to find out the Cisco Unified Presence Server 6.x and its Cisco Unified Presence IP Phone Messenger support for CP-7942G.
Thanks and best regards.

Hi Rob,
Meaning to say, regardless of the Cisco Unified Presence Server version, so long the IP Phone models are in the supported list and I shall assume IP Phone Messenger will be working fine.
Thanks,

IPPM should works seamlessly if it has been configured properly. Personally i tried on presence 6.x only for this feature.
