A possible error in AVVID qos SRND

A question on Cisco Avvid Network Infrastructure enterprise quality of Service design(SRDN).

SCCP protocol:Page 3-10 step 4:

set qos acl ip acl_voip_control dscp 26 tcp any any range 2000 2002

H323 protocol :page 11 step 1:

MGCP protocol: page 12 step 2:

Shouldn't they use tcp any range x y any instead of any any range x y? I think CCM always respond the signal and it never initiates the signal.

Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks

You are more or less right - phones will send packets to 2000-2002 (I think just 2000 nowadays but I've not checked on this)...

Responses from CM will come from ports 2000-2002 to a random port on the phone.

So if you're using trust-cos you can ignore the phone part as you don't need an ACL, and can use 'tcp any range 2000 2002 any' if you want an ACL on your CM port.

Be aware that if you are configuring QoS on 6500, that certain older line card do not support trust-cos, trust-dscp without an associated ACL.
