Active Directory Changes

My client is planning major Active Directory structure changes. They are presently running version 9 or CuCM, UCxN, Jabber, UCCX and CER. For LDAP synchronization, they have just used the top level OU. They want to know how this AD change effects the synchronization with Cisco applications and if something needs to be kept in mind before making the changes. 

I have made minor changes in AD before without any impact.
