Dear All,

we have an AS5300 with 4 E1, with IOs 12.2(XA). But we could not use more than 58 ports of it. Someone know if there is a kind of limit of use in this equip.

Thanks

Samy

You are probably limited by vfc, How many VFC's do you have ? and how many DSP' are on each vfc ?

do

show vfc 1 board

show vfc 2 board

you need 30 dsp's on each board to do 120 calls thats with C549 technology do

show vfc 1 tech

show vfc 2 tech

and determine codec complexity you are using.

Check out this link for an explanation:

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/120newft/120limit/120xh/pucc124x.htm

Dear Sir,

As you asked had 30 dsp in each VFC as show:

BR_1X2_01#sh vfc 1 board

VFC board state is UP, vfc status VCWARE running(0x4)

VFC board in slot 1 with 30 dsps

BR_1X2_01#sh vfc 2 board

VFC board state is UP, vfc status VCWARE running(0x4)

VFC board in slot 2 with 30 dsps

BR_1X2_01#show vfc 1 tech

Technology in VFC slot 1 is C549

BR_1X2_01#show vfc 2 tech

Technology in VFC slot 2 is C549

and the codec That Iam using is:

voice class codec 1

codec preference 1 g723r63

codec preference 2 g729r8

codec preference 3 g711ulaw

codec preference 4 g711alaw

BR_1X2_01#sh vfc 1 cap

Capability List for VFC in slot 1 and 2 use:

1. cor-vfc-hc-l.3.4.27l.bin

2. bas-vfc-hc-l.3.4.27l.bin

3. fax-vfc-hc-l.3.4.27l.bin

4. cdc-g711-hc-l.3.4.27l.bin

5. cdc-g726-hc-l.3.4.27l.bin

6. cdc-g729-hc-l.3.4.27l.bin

7. cdc-g728-hc-l.3.4.27l.bin

8. cdc-g723.1-hc-l.3.4.27l.bin

I do not see anything wrong... Could be the gAtekeeper ? Iam using a cisco 7200 with IOS:
