AS5400 as H.323/SIP GW to PRI trunk

I have a customer who has an AS5400 with a couple of 8-port E1 cards and wants to use this as a gateway between SIP/H323 and a standard PRI trunk.

What little information I can find as the kit is now obsolete refers to having to use a SC2200 for SS7. If they do not require SS7 can I use the AS5400 stand-alone?

Hi Craig,

You certainly can use the PRI trunk to connect to PSTN/PABX without using the SS7.
