ATA-186 and Fax on each line

I had a customer say that two fax machines, one on each port of the ATA-186 wasn't recommended by cisco This is ATA-186 SCCP with Callmanger 4.1(3) and H323 gateways with fax pass-thru on the dial-peers. Can anyone say if this is true?

Another customer said they have a fax on each port with no problems.

I could not find a doc that reads that you cannot put two fax machines on the ata 186 but the information may stem from the doc below.

In the doc above, there is mention of different versions of the ATA 186, and maybe the second customer has the "correct" version, along with not exceeding the limitations of the ata 186.
