I want a "waiting room" phone to autodial a certain extension automatically when the phone goes offhook. I have not been able find out how to make it work.

To build a Hotline phone that will ring a destination when the receiver goes off hook:
a. Create a Partition called Hotline
b. Create a CSS called Hotline_CSS and add the Partitions Hotline and CampusPT.
c. Create a blank Translation Pattern and add Partition=Hotline, CSS=Hotline_CSS, Route Filter=None, and Called Party Transformation Mask=7661072 as the ring down destination (for example).
d. Create a Phone DN with Partition-Hotline and CSS=Hotline_CSS.
Good luck!

FYI -
Cisco calls this PLAR - Private Line Automatic (or Automated) Ringdown.
It used to be in the Call Manager help pages but I can't find it in v3.2(2c)
