Automatically dial a set number when handset is lifted?

Okay, I admit it, I'm too lazy to properly research this myself before asking the group.

Does anyone know a way to get the phone to automatically dial a preconfigured number when the handset is lifted (or if it goes off hook by any other means)

Yes, this is easy. Its called PLAR (private line automatic ringdown) or I like to call it BatPhone.

But the basic premise is this-

Create a partition called PLAR

Create a CSS that only contains the PLAR partition

Assign the CSS to the phone (or line)

Create a Translation pattern that is blank, assign the correct css and set the dialed number to the number you want called when the phone is picked up.

Basically the only option the phone should have for route patterns is the blank TP, so it will automatically match. Be careful you dont expose that partition to any other CSS or you will have a mess.
