Backing up CCM 3.3(2) and restoring to 3.3(4)

We have 2 call managers in production - 7825s running v3.3(2) software. We want to upgrade harwdare and software to 7835s and 3.3(4) s/w. We have the 2 new 7835 servers and have built them with 3.3(4) and all the correct patches etc.

Now we want to backup the config from the current production call managers and restore this onto the new boxes. We're having trouble with incompatibility between BARS on the new system and the older IPT Backup utility on the production boxes.

Can anyone suggest the best way to port the current production configuration from 3.3(2) to 3.3(4)? Any help is appreciated.

You won't be able to move the 3.3(2) database to the 3.3(4) server. Probably the best option will be to reinstall the new server with the same version of CCM 3.3(2) that you currently have. Backup the production publisher and restore to your new server. Once this is successful run the 3.3(4) Upgrade Assistant. Once this is good then perform the upgrade to 3.3(4). Please refer to this URL for the steps needed.
