The Bulk Import Tool with Unity 4.0(2) works great importing user from the Active Directory/Exchange 2000 message store. There is one minor glitch that is happening on my system. It changes the user's display name from Last, First to Last First (no comma). I checked the Subscriber Template that I use for the import, and I have Last, First checked.
Any ideas? Any problems adding the comma back in from AD Users and Computers?

I'm not sure why it's not showing up - it may not have release notes on it or something, I'll check around.
Talking with the DB guys it looks like they can't post CUBI as a stand alone install easily since it's wrapped around the SQLSyncSvr service pretty tight - the fix for this involved an updated version of the syncher so it's not very portable I'm afraid...

If I create a new user with the SA, it creates the correct Display Name. It is only during the Bulk Import of an existing user.

Looks like that's a known bug (CSCeb24466). The record says it's been fixed in the post release 4.0(2) branch (i.e. it'll be available in the 4.0(3) release).
I'll chat with the DB boys to see if a version can be made available for download somewhere as opposed to waiting for the 4.0(3) release - they don't work on the same "stand alone tool" paradigm me and the CAT group do so this may have to be done a little differently. I'll let you know what they say.

Thanks Jeff.
For some reason, that bug doesn't show up when I search the bugtool by keyword.

Thanks for the update. I'll just add the "put the comma back in" to my Bulk Import procedures. That will be easier than doing the import from SA one-by-one.
Thanks again.

Bug:CSCeb24466, Bulk Import & Display Names
Ran into this bug today, the templates were set to Last, First name but the Bulk import tool did its thing. Now that after 300+ users already imported. The Customer noticed that their AD accounts have the comma missing are upset. As Unity updated that to reflect no comma on the ad accounts/Address books etc. If I try to add the comma via the SA screen one at a time It does not like it. Is there a work around were I can go directly into the Unity DB and add these comma's which will in turn update the AD display name. If I remove all the 300+ users, and then add the Optional field display name with the comma in the .csv file will the bulk import work correctly.
Thx

You'd be better off changing the display name in AD and then letting that change synch into the UnityDB rather than trying to do it the other way around which can get a little messy...
