We are running CallManager 4.1(3). I need to determine if an analog gateway (to which a FAX machine is attached) is rejecting calls because it is busy. What reporting in CallManager can I use to determine if calls to this gateway are being rejected due to the FAX machine being busy with another call? Thank you.

Are you using Skinny analog gateways, like ATA186 or VG248 or MGCP gateway. If yes, try this out.
1. Set the Callforward Busy of the fax line to another extension, for example 3000.
2. Set line 3000 to auto answer.
3. This way when the fax machine is in use the calls to the fax line will be answered by 3000 and these calls will be dropped after a few seconds.
4. Enable CDR, also set the "CDR log calls with zero duration" service parameter to True.
5. Run CDR report for 3000 and you will know how many calls got rejected cos the fax line was busy.
Unfortunately you cannot do this with H323 gateways.

Thanks for the information. Yes, this is an MGCP gateway.
There isn't an easier way to determine busy DN's from reports? Thanks again.
