Call Manager Cluster and indialRanges

Hi,

We currently have a single cluster over two sites and 2 in dial rages. I want to make it so the full number is required to be dialed plus out side line access code. What would be the best way to approach this?

You can do this with translation patterns. For example:

- Place the lines in site 1 in partitionA

- Place the lines in site 2 in partitionB

- The CSS for the phones in site 1 will contain only partitionA

- The CSS for the phones in site 2 will contain only partitionB

Create a translation pattern for site 1 that has the outside line access number plus the full number to reach site 2. For example the pattern would be 9212555.XXXX (note the period), assuming the numbers in site 2 are 212555XXXX. The CSS of the translation pattern contians partitionB and the Discard Digits will be set to predot.

Create a similar translation pattern for site 2.

Thanks Kevin works well. Will this cause an issue if the connection between the sites go down?

Would another way be if i create multiple dial-peers and translation rules on each site PSTN Gateways.

This could also avoid having to modify phone partitions since they are all in the same one at present.
