Customer with call mgr 3.3.4 is now receiving caller name and number id from their carrier.
The name and number show up on the phone display as it should. When user is on a call and a 2nd call arrives, the display does not change to show the 2nd caller info until after the user has answered the call.
Seems that the display should change to show the 2nd call name and number before answering so user can decide to answer or not.
Is there any way to do this?
thanks

Erik:
call manager will support incoming caller name id if the carrier is sending it. This is an excerpt from a Cisco doc that describes it:
Cisco CallManager supports Calling Name Delivery using the Display IE of the Q.931 PRI protocol. This option is available provided that the PSTN link understands and processes text messages within the Display IE.
With the advent of Cisco CallManager 3.3(3), CallManager supports Calling Party Name by way of the Q.931 Facility IE based on the Bellcore GR-1367-CORE specification. This is also known as the NI3 CNID service.
> Briefly stated, Cisco CallManager PRI gateways are capable of using the Facility IE encoded with the CallingName Remote Operations Service Element.
