I have a customer who wants to monitor CPU Util and other server performance stats with Network Insight. Is this supported on CallManager? They are running 3.3.3sr4a.

Mr. Stengle, please see this link for Cisco Approved services/vendors/applications:
http://www.cisco.com/pcgi-bin/ecoa/Search
I do not see "Network Insight" listed.

In general, only use utils included with the server. As such, if you need to monitor the performance of the server, user Performance Monitor included with trimmed down version of Windows 2000 on Callmanager server.
NOTE: If you use any monitoring application, that application uses CPU/Memory to monitor so keep that in mind too.
Always keep in mind that the Callmanager is a phone system and should be treated as such.

Hi,
I've seen on the approved app's page for CCM and Unity that BackUpExec and Symantec Antivirus are both supported but as yet have not deployed them in the Lab.
We've also spoken about using Tivoli Management apps for server management and told it's ok just not supported unlike the other two.
Does anyone have any experience with these apps as well?

Just because you can, does not mean you should.
Yes I know that CCM runs on top of what appears to be windows 2000, but please understand that it is a stripped down version for the SOLE purpose of running CCM.
Why add extra complication for your very vital phone system? There is a reason Cisco tests applications to make sure they are compatible.
When you asks other people if they have any problems with unsupported software, you don't know their topology - for instance, they may only have the simplest install with 50 phones, and one CSS, one partition, one DN per phone and so on. Yours could be 10000 phones with infinite permutations in configuration.
That's my 2 cents and I'll stop here.

What does this network insight tool use to monitor Utilization? If it uses SNMP that is already running on callmanager. For info on SNMP on callmanager http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00801f0243.html
Your other option is to use the RTMT
you can find information for this at
and as was mentioned by others you can also use Microsoft performance monitor: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_administration_guide_chapter09186a00801f0238.html
