Can an intercom speed dial button show presence of the remote phone like a BLF will?

With CUCM can a user have a list of intercom speed dial buttons that will also monitor the presence of the remote phone?  Kind of like a BLF does?

If not, any ideas on how an expansion module can be configured so that the receptionist can see the presence of all users AND be able to dial intercom numbers from the same button?

Is it possible that the DNs could be setup to auto-answer on internal calls and ring normall from external calls?  That would be a suitable work-around in this case.

In our testing an intercom speed dial can NOT function like a BLF and display presence info.  To work around this we created a new partition and created duplicate extension numbers but made all these auto-answer.  Then we put a line on everyone's phone that can call that partition and we named it intercom.  For those that wanted speed-dial intercoms, we are using normal BLFs, so presence shows up as expected.
