I am trying to use use a third party pbx (Specifically, Matric Ethernity PE) as a stop gap for a company after their cisco call manager got burnt by lightning. I have installed SIP firmware on the testing cisco IP phone 7911g but all effort to get it to work has failed.
Please does anyone have experince with using this phone with a third party pbx and what I need to do to get it working.
Meanwhile I edited the XMLDefault.cnf.xml file to contain the parameters for the pbx box and at one time I was able to get the 8.4.4 sip firmware to register but still getting no tone on the phone.
