Call Manager 4.0. When I try to send the output for traces to a network drive no log file is written.

In the serviceibility trace config menu, my logging options are the following:

Enable File Trace Log Yes

Enable XML Formatted Output No

File Name F:\Trace\CCM\ccm.txt

Maximum No. of Files 250

Maximum No. of Lines per File 10000

Maximum No. of Minutes per File 1440

F: is my network drive.

Any help is appreciatted.

Thanks.

I am not sure this will work but it is worth a try.

Copy the entire C:\Program Files\Cisco\Trace folder structure from the CCM to the network share you have set up. (Cisco uses a .bin file in each trace directory to index where it stopped writing)

Just be warned that if this works it could generate a ton of network traffic.

Don't do this. CCM gets real cranky if it can't write trace files for any reason in a number of versions. This can affect call processing among other things.
