Hello!
We have 2 CCM subscribers. Their configuration, registered devices are nearly the same. (1300 and 1500 phones, 80, 90 h323 gateways). Node 1 cpu usage is 20%, while the others is always between 80-100%.
What can such a big difference?
(when I moved more than 400 phones and 1 vgw with 2 E1 lines, nothing changed!)
Thanks,
Bela

Hi Bela,
It would be helpful to know which specific process or processes is using such a high CPU usage?
Is it the ccm.exe or dllhost.exe or others?
:)

The ccm process. It is between 50-70%.

Are you running 4.1.3sr3b? If so, don't! It's got shed loads of problems and causes cpu to max out on random nodes within a cluster. ES66 sorts all.

what is the model of server?
what version ccm?
where are all your gateways registered?

Hello!
MCS-7800 Intel Xeon 3.06 Ghz, 4G RAM
4.1(3)sr2
MGCP gateways (4 E1) is registered to the 20% node.
H323 gateways is nearly equaly registered to the two subscribers. (I mean their DP ccmgroup setting).
1 more interesting detail: the 20% node handles twice as many calls as the 90%.
Thanks,
Bela

Hi,
I found the source of the problem. Some VG248 ports (nearly 60) was enabled, but was not configured on the CCM. After disabling these port the cpu usage dropped to 10-15%.
Thanks,
Bela
