CCME IP phone seat license

I want to get IP phones for my CCME 2851, I was wondering if they work without the per seat license for each phone Which is quite costly.What is the effect on the system of not getting such a licence

Hi Christopher,

You will need to purchase the Phone licenses as well.They should look something like this CP-7941G-CH1=

Cisco Unified IP Phone 7941G, channel with license

This licensing is "honor based" and is not loaded on the router itself :)

Base Cisco Unified CME feature license and phone user licenses that entitle you to use Cisco Unified CME are **purchased.
