Hello,

I have a basic CCNA.  Can I add Collaboration to that and "upgrade" it by taking just one of the two exams or was that only an option with CCNA Voice?  Will I be stuck taking both exams to get CCNA Collaboration when I already have an active CCNA?

Yes CCNA used to cover all associate level but they have changed it over last few years ,you can see it in the career path cert section , click on any exam to see what the prerequisite is , so if you want to do CCNP R&S you need CCNA R&S etc

but say you get to CCNP or CCIE level it will renew other exams by taking exam in same train in some cases  , so if you repeat a 624 exam at that level it will renew all other 624 exam
