Cisco 8841 SSL VPN Connection

Hi,

Has any one configured an 8841 as a SSL VPN Phone.

I have configured mine as you would a 7942, which work fine etc

But when I plug the 8841 in, I get connection failed, invalid certificate.

Hi Ian,

I was having similar issue with an 8861 phone and SSL VPN.  So I opened a TAC case and they provided me with the solution:

"Usually you upload the Cisco_Manufacturing_CA certificate on the ASA but with the new models we should upload the Cisco_Manufacturing_CA_SHA2 creating a new trustpoint on the ASA"

The security guide does not specify about this cert, it only mentions Cisco_Manufacturing_CA .

Hi,

Sorry for the long time before reply.

Thanks for this, but this means it is not supported on 8.6 which does not have that Cert. But am going to 10.5 which does but will now be looking at MRA for the 8851.
