Cisco IP Phone Address Book Synchronizer and Windows 7

Hello,

I've been working on configuring Address Book Synchronization between a UCM V7 and Windows 7. I've taken all the steps required:

- created the end user, associated with the extension;

- installed the plugin on the local PC,

- configured the plugin with the propper username and password, plus the call manager IP address

But I get into a bit of a problem: When I hit the "Synchronize" button on tabsync, it  gets stuck on the "Reading the Windows Address Book" Step.

On windows XP it works exactly the way it is soupposed to.

Is there a way to trick this application to use the Windows 7 "Cotacts" list and to synchronize this one to the User's Personal directory ?

Hi,

Microsoft has removed Address Book from the windows 7 and the Address Book Synchronization tool works only for Address Book in windows. So this plug-in will not provide the required functionality in windows 7.

Is there any other way to synchronoze the Windows 7 Contacs with the Cisco Personal Directory ?
