Hello,
I am running a CM 4.1(3). I need to add an ATA188 but my only chouce is for an ATA186 and I can't seem to find how to get an ATA188 to show up in the device profiles so that I can choose it. Any suggestions as to what to do?

These two devices operate in the same way. The only difference is that the 188 has an additional ethernet port. Take a look at the Cisco ATA 186 and Cisco ATA 188 Analog Telephone Adaptor Administrator's Guide at the link below. It states "For Cisco CallManager 3.2 or later, register the Cisco ATA as the Cisco ATA 186 device type (regardless of whether the device is a Cisco ATA 186 or a Cisco ATA 188)."

Thnkas Brandon,
the problem is that the ATA186 is showing up as a 1 line device but the ATA 188 is a 2 line device. I can't seem to get the second line going. ANy suggestions?

Verify that both SID0 and SID1 are set to "." without the quotes in the ATA config.
http://x.x.x.x/dev where x.x.x.x is the ata address. SID0 is for Phone 1 and SID1 is for Phone 2. Setting a SID to "1" disables the port.

See step 12 at the link below. You have to drop the 2 left-most digits of the MAC and 01 to the right of the MAC for the second port.

Good point. I've gotten used to using auto registration on callmanagers, I've gotten lazy! ;-)
