CCM 3.3 CME 3 Unity 4.0(2)
On the CCM side, we have a cti route point, pointing to a VM profile to acomplish the TX --> VM
Is there a way we can mimic this on the CME? Is there a way that we can get this feature to work b/t the CCM and CME phones? Or can we point Directly to CCM to do the work?
Thanks
Matt

Matt, need a bit more info. Are you saying that if a call comes into an operator, and they want to transfer the call to a person's voicemail, you do not want to transfer it back to their extension, but directly into voicemail? Or are you asking something else?
If it is the former, you can configure a phantom dn for those extensions where you want to do this which have call forward set to voicemail. I can get our TMEs to send you this config if you like.

I would like to have the ability to transfer DIRECTLY into a persons voicemail w/o ringing the phone. We have this configured on the CallManager using a CTI Route point, but need it on the CM Express as well.
thanks

Yes, as Sarat suggested, you can do it by creating a phantom dn, here're the configuration steps:
1. Create a phantom ephone-dn and add a dial-peer to route to the CUE
ephone-dn 100
number 81234 !!! depending on the dialplan, 8 works on our alpha system
call-forward all 57777 !!! call forward unconditionally to the voicemail pilot#
dial-peer voice 88888 voip
destination-pattern 8.... !!! one dial-peer for all the other users on the same system
session protocol sipv2
session target ipv4:172.19.153.106 !!! pointing to CUE module
dtmf-relay sip-notify
codec g711ulaw
no vad
2. on CUE web page:
Log on and then go to Configure -> Users page, configure 81234 as primary E.164 number
Primary E.164 number: 81234
(Note: this won't work if E.164 number field is already used)
3. To test it out:
- call a CME ip phone's extension
- pick up the ringing ip phone
- press the "Trnsfer" button
- dial the phantom extension just created (81234)
- hangup quickly or press the "Trnsfer" button again
- the caller should hear the called party's greetings
(Note that you need to hangup quickly so that the caller won't miss the first few words of the greetings.)
thanks
