I have a CME 3725 running 12 3.4 T code (with an NM-CUE 1.1.2). I tried adding some 7912s. The first one went OK, the second had a problem with the buttons. Got a "Can't change mac address for registered phone
can't change button 1 to dn = 33 for 0011.2032.ACC6" error. I tried from the GUI but then the GUI went blank. I rebooted the CME, the GUI came back and I was able to add the button. I tried adding ephone 3, all went well up to the button config, then I got the same error. On the show ephone, it shows that ephone 3 is registered but with a different MAC address, not the one configured under ephone 3. Mind you, the actual 7912s are not even at the site yet. I configured the fourth phone under ephone 4 with no problem. It's status is, obviously, unregistered. Is there a "phantom" config under ephone 3? I took the config out of it and put it under ephone 5 with no problem. So, ephone 3 has no config, but it still shows up as being registered with the "other" MAC address. Also, I noticed the ephone 6 is not in the configs, it just goes 4,5,7,8 etc. But ephone 6 is registered also. Where are these "mystery" ephones and configurations? How do you get rid of them?
