CMS 2000 cabling

Hi Everybody

have to install CMS2000, cabling directly on MLSwitch Cisco 7600 that is more than 100mt distant.
I've read installation guide and UCS 6324 Fabric Interconnect data sheet where is written that CMS2000 has:

  • 1 port for management: 10/100/1000 Mbps
  • 4 port for application that need SFP+ tranceiver.

Questions:

(1)

10/100/1000 Mbps port is rj45 only copper no fiber.
how to cover distances more than 100 mt?

(2)

in UCS 6324 FI data sheet (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-6300-series-fabric-interconnects/datasheet-c78-732207.html) is written that :

  • table 3 --> both tranceiver SFP-10G-LR and SFP-10G-SR are supported.
  • table 5 --> cabling specifications: SFP+ copper (CU) (max 10mt distance) ;  SFP+ short reach (SR) and MMF (max 300 mt distance)

On Installation guide is also written that:

  • "4x10Gbps SFP+ : port 1 is for uplink, port 4 reserved for internal use, port 2 and 3 are unused."

Could it be possible to use port 2 or 3 for in-band management? (i ask that to eventually use fiber to cover distance more than 100 mt)

May you please help me understand how to correctly cable CMS2000 to Cisco7600?

Thanks in advance
