CUC 12.5 are saved messages sent when relay is turned on?

Our client had Unity Connection 12.5, and has decided they want to set-up relay messages to their email for certain users. The question is, if the end user already has saved voicemails, will these be sent over once the relay messages is turned up for them? And if not, is there a way to send those old messages to them once the connectivity is established between the CUC and their SMTP? We are unable to run the Unity Archive tool due to security parameters within the network.

Hello-

 

The existing messages will not be forwarded.

 

I would say the easiest way to migrate the old messages is to enable Web Inbox and have the users download the messages.  Web Inbox is enabled on the CoS level. 

 

Navigate to: Class of Service > Class of Service > the CoS of the user (you could create a new one just for the users that require this)

Check the box for 'Allow Users to Use the Web Inbox and RSS Feeds' 

 

The user should be able to login to  https://<CUC- Server>/inbox/ using their username and password.
