Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but here it goes...
Our CUCM and CUC is running on VMware virtual machines. The hosts/VMs are housed in a UCS setup. Our other hosts (containing VMs running Windows servers) are backed up to a Barracuda Backup Server. Is it possible to backup the hosts running the CUCM and CUC using Barracuda? I don't think it would be a problem but would like some advise before attempting. The last thing I want is for the CUCM or CUC to stop working. Thanks!

That has not been tested, and therefore is not supported by Cisco, for obvious reasons, we cannot tell you if it would affect the servers.
The supported methods to backup are DRS, and you could also copy the VM

We're doing DRS but I wanted to know if using Barracuda to backup the host was another viable option for us. Thanks for the response!

Please check the System Requirements section of below DRS Guide for more details into this. This will stand true for CUC as well:

So I've been asked to revisit this. Is this still not tested or recommended? Thanks.

Answer remains the same.

We went ahead and gave this a try. Our phone system (CUCM/CUC) is being backed up by our Barracuda backup system. We have not run into any issues. This may not be the case for everyone but its working for us. Thanks to everyone for their feedback and suggestions!
