D-Link DVC1000 unable to receive calls via 837 PAT

I am having a real big headache.

from the D Link configuration guide, I am informed to port forward:

TCP: 1720

TCP & UDP: 15328 - 15333

to the IP address of the DVC1000.

I have done all that, and yet, the DVC is NOT able to answer calls.

When someone tries to call in, the DVC will ring, answer, and the line is dropped immediately.

When I replaced the 837 with another router (from D Link), it works! So its not the DVC's problem.

btw, with the 837, I am able to call out, just receiving is a problem.

Anyone care to help?

Network Address Translation (NAT) supports port mapping and forwarding to standard default SIP signaling port 5060 and media base port 16384, . Media ports are evenly numbered from the base port. NAT must support multiple port mappings.

or You can use something like VT advantage.

hi,

thanks for your reply. UNfortunately, the DVC works on H.323 and thus it has to run on port 1720.

Or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?
