dial peers

I'm using CME 3.4 on 2801 with IPVOICE IOS and Cisco 7940 phone. I'm trying to configure VOIP dial peers so that when any number starting with 9 (9 being an example) is dialled the call is routed to my VOIP provider's SIP proxy. If anyone can provide a dial-peer config example that would be useful. Also, what are the wildcards that I can use with destination-pattern command?
