What device is used to convert digital phone traffic, similar to the to what the ATA-186 does for analog phones?
What I would like to do is plug say 10 digital phones into some sort of converter type patch panel , except for digital phones, and run into a 4000 series switch and go from there.
I am fairly new to VOIP, does something like this exist? Or am I way off base.
Thanks

The problem with most digital phones is that they talk their own language. They were meant to talk to a PBX or key system and there is usually a proprietary way that is done.
There is one company, MCK, that interface to several digital phones. Don't know if they talk to call manager or not though.

Thank you for the reply. I will look into MCK and see what they are about.
