Assuming your using DC Directory (DCD), are there an error(s) on the CCMAdmin page when you attempt to search the GD, or, any error(s) in the Event Veiwer Application log pertaining to DCD?
If so, what are they?
Something else to do. Try this test. From the Publisher, go to:
Start / Programs / DC Directory Administrator
Default Profile / Next
Directory Server = Publisher server name or IP
Auth. Level = Simple
User Name = Directory Manager
Password = ciscocisco or what you have assigned
>click on Finish
Can you login?
If you cannot login, may have a password issue or a database issue.
Either way, please see and follow this document for DC Directory repair. Follow it closely. For 3.2 or less.
