DMA migration from CM 4.2.3 to CM 7.1.3 unexpected hostnames

We migrated over to CM 7 a couple of weeks ago using DMA from CM 4.2.3.  When I do a Show>Cluster from the OS Administration page I see the following:

qpub

qsub1.localdomain.com

qsub2.localdomain.com

qsub3

Is it possible that when CM 4x was installed they attempted to join a domain?  There was a DMA Warning that stated that the LDAP Operation Failed.  I opened a TAC case and was told to ignore it.  Is this cosmetic or should I be concerned?

This wouldn't be related to joining a domain or LDAP. I am not sure why the

servers would show up with a mixture of fully qualified domain names versus

host names. I do not think this would pose a problem as long as forward and

reverse domaind lookups work between all cluster nodes. To check whether

this is a problem. I would do the following (on each cluster node):

1. Connect via SSH to the CLI (or KVM console if you prefer)

2. Run command: show network cluster

3. Run command: show tech network hosts

4. Run command: utils diagnose module validate network

The last command is key. If you see a failure here, I would contact Tac and

let them know that it may be more than cosmetic. With the other two

commands you are looking for further inconsistencies and anything that

appears invalid. Post the output if you prefer.
