DMM 5.2.2 not recognizing MXE 3.3.2

Trying to integrate an older DMM/SnS 5.2.2 systems with a MXE3500 running 3.3.2 code.

Have done the integration configuration for the dmsftp on the MXE but when I try to configure it on the DMM, with its FQDN, it chokes on the name.  I have checked th name through nslookup and I have fixed the issue where MXE had the wrone subnet mask on the windows server.

Am I just beating my head against a wall or have I missed something?

change authentication mode to unauthenticated in mxe administration settings
