DMP 4310 odd behavior

Hello all,

Recently we have added a new dmp 4310g to our existing DMS.

The rest of the dmps are 4400.

We go through the manual installation for each dmp and they can communicate with DMM without any restrictions.

But, with the 4310G we had the following issue. Even though it could register to the DMM and appear as UP, after a while (30s) it turned down.

The 4310G was operational and reachable through the network but an unknown reason the DMM would declared it as down.

Also, the internal memory couldnt be mounted!!

I'm attaching a screen shot of this.

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Thank you

The symptom that you are reporting is a common symptom that can be seen

when the DMP management password is DIFFERENT from the password

configured for the SERVER Settings in the Digital Signs(DS) module of the

the Digital Media Manager(DMM).  Once the passwords match, the status

should remain online.

After this is resolved, the storage numbers * SHOULD * appear as expected.

Note: The Storage values will appear AFTER the first status update which is

around 5 minutes.

I Hope this Helps!

Hi Tomas,

Thanks for answering.

I can assure you that the password was correct( i was using the same password as for the 4400 models, which is UP!)
