Hi all,

is there a way to control the Playback from Cast TV-Channels/VoD Channels on a DMP without a Remote Control or UCS/IP-Phone?

We have DMM5.2.

In the DMM-DSM Cast Setup Configuration, You can configure a under

the remote contol a URL that you can use for controlling the CAST

screens.

The only issue (which is known) is the length of the URL.  It is NOT long

so you may have to use a "TINYURL" (if you have access to the internet)

or use DNS to shorten the URL length:

Ie.

dmm-fqdn:8080/m

When this is configured; PCs, iPhones, iTouches, or Smart Devices can

control the CAST displays.

Hi Tomas,

thanks for your post!  It works fine.

Within Cast/Remote-control I can setup the PINs for the Emulatet Remote Control of each DMP!

Does anybody know if this PINs are also usable with the real Remote Control?

Bernhard,

The Pins will not work with regular remotes.

What you can use is iTouches & iPhones or any

smart device which can access the IP network and

got to the URL to enter the pin.
