DMPs Powered Down

When I came to my office this morning, several DMPs at my location were powered down.  The outlets did have power, as removing and re-inserting the power plug brought them back up.  In my experience the DMPs don't have an "off" state, unless they don't have power.  Whatever caused them to power down happened between 10 PM and midnight Central time in the U.S.  It could have been a power outage, but usually they come back up when that happens.

This caused an outage on these monitors until they could be physically power cycled.  The monitors also had to be turned on, since the DMPs could not send the RS232 commands.

Any idea why this might have happened?

These are 4400G units running 5.3 firmware.
