DMPs Showing Black Screen

Hi All,

Many of the new 4310G DMPs that we recently purchased worked fine for months but are now displaying black screens.  The DMM gives me a green light but the DMPs are not showing content.  By logging into the DMP, I can show IP but that’s all. Also, I can restart the unit using the DMP GUI, but the unit doesn’t actually restart because the red light never comes on the DMP. Oddly, after a hard restart by pushing the power button or powering down with POE, everything is fine. We are running firmware version 5.3.4, but I think 5.3.5 has been released.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Hi Eric,

are you saying that the DMP works fine for some time after you power off/power on, then get stuck and start showing a black screen again after some time? If so, may be some content is causing troubles to the DMP after running for some time. I would recommend you to open a TAC Service Request in order to have this investigated further.

Thanks for the reply.  We were thinking memory leak and are planning to do a firmware upgrade.
