I was told that Cisco recommends that the CallManager server also be acting as a DNS Server? Is that correct? I can not find any document in the knowledgebase that backs up that statement.
We do have tons of DNS servers for that purpose.
Since I am new to CCM, I would like your opinion.
Thanks,

no you do not need to set-up DNS on callmanager.
Instead of using names use IP addresses for CM.
Otherwise you can specify settings in your dhcp scope weather it be on unix or window, linux etc specify your tftp server the publisher so registration works.

if you allready have dns servers use one of those, and then put that in you dhcp scope with the tftp sttings etc
hope this helps
