Hi all,
I've got a major problem that i cannot seem to resolve.
I've got a Samsumg PBX which is normally connected to PSTN. This have now been moved to a PRI interface on a cisco router (for the reason of moving it across a WAN).
The cisco 2651 should act just like the PSTN does.
My problem is that initially i had layer 1 deactivated and far end block error detected, transmitter is sending remote alarm and receiver has loss of signal.
Then i changed the framing to no-crc4 and the only problem is now "receiver has loss of frame".
For some reason i cannot seem to resolve this issue. Changed linecoding to AMI (from hdb3) but then all the problems reappeared).
Since i'm being the PSTN side my config looks like this
controller E1 0/0
framing NO-CRC4
clock source internal
pri-group timeslots 1-31
description Interconnect to voice pri from pbx
!
interface Serial0/0:15
no ip address
no logging event link-status
isdn switch-type primary-net5
isdn timer t321 40000
isdn overlap-receiving
isdn protocol-emulate network
isdn incoming-voice voice
no isdn outgoing display-ie
no cdp enable
!
Do anyone have any clues as to what might be wrong ?
Thanks in advance

Additional information ...
When i reconvert back to CRC4 as framing i again receive all the errors but my "path code violations" dissapear (after clearing counters) ??
So with CRC4 - HDB3 i get lots of error but no path code violations (lots of line code violations though) and when trying with NO-CRC4 and HDB3 then most of the errors dissapear but path code violations occur ?? I'm really confused here ... :-)
Far End Block Errors Detected
Transmitter is sending remote alarm.
Receiver has loss of frame.
alarm-trigger is not set
Version info Firmware: 20030807, FPGA: 11
Framing is CRC4, Line Code is HDB3, Clock Source is Internal.
CRC Threshold is 320. Reported from firmware is 0.
Data in current interval (10 seconds elapsed):
57594 Line Code Violations, 0 Path Code Violations
Thanks in advance

Try changing your clock source to line on the E1 controller. This my help the situation.Your primary clock source should be coming from the PSTN.

If you are sure that the cabling is correct (the NT and TE wiring on the patch cord), connect the PSTN PRI to the router. Tune the config so that you can csim start out of the router to the pstn.
Reverse the cabling, clock source and isdn protocol emulation, plug the router into the PBX and it must work.

Filipe
