has anyone come across this error

trying to install an OS image a new IBM 7835.

ERROR # 1802 image file is invalid or corrupted

start with hardware detection CD,

creates raid 1, then install daignostics (small) image, reboots, starts process for Operating system and prompts for DVD #4, gets to about 2% of O/S image installed and errors out.

have tried 2 other copies of DVD 4 and same problem

any ideas would be appreciated

Sounds like you received a bad batch of CD's. You may also want to get 2000.2.7a CD's. There is a bug you might run into: CSCeh04813: The operating system displays mismatched Network Interface Card (NIC) numbers on the IBM X346, MCS 7835-I1, and MCS 7845-I1 servers with the B1 revision of the NIC. IBM changed to a newer chipset after Cisco performed its review. The 2000.2.7a disks will address this.

If you dont get 2.7a cd's and run into this, here is the workaround.

Apply IBM-NicNameX.exe patch found on CCO.
