Expressway and Microsoft infrastructure.

Planning on deploying an expressway core as a B2BUA gateway.

The deployment guide specifies that the UC domain is not the same as the MS domain. I'm trying to figure out if this solution could be implemented using the same domain. 

If the change is made to the top level domain and the cluster fqdn, this means that hostnames, certs, dns records would have to change.

Also, changes would have to made to presence server and expressway servers.

why dont you try this solution with Cisco CMS.

Expressway when act as gateway for MS lync has limited features where as Cisco CMS provides you conference calling capability with messaging and multimedia sharing.

it is lot more scalable and more efficient. it also gives you joining a call from web browsers Google chrome, firefox opera etc.

you can configure it to use same domain, subdomain or  on a separate domain as you like.
