Fax and the tone

Hi 

We are using interaction center(inin) for the fax service , there is no trunk created for fax numbers in cucm , users use their DN for faxes also , 

There are two problems facing now 

remote users are not hearing fax tone , i don't know the tone has to give by the  interaction center server or the gateway 

second problem  some analog users  especially (speed 2400 ) cannot send the faxes

Which vendor's equipment is plugged into the PSTN circuit: Cisco or I3? If Cisco, are you using the fax TCL script or what is triggering the fax switchover? We need a better understanding of the design here. Perhaps put together a quick diagram.
