Fwd to VM in hunt group with Attendant console

CCM 4.1.2 and AC 1.3.1. If I want to send last member to voice mail in hunt group, I have to create a dummy CTI port fwd to vm because it won't take the main route pattern/hunt pilot. Is this a normal situation?

Setup a CTI port with a DN of the subscriber mailbox you want to redirect the call to, in the hunt group make sure you check "Alway Route Member" for this DN.

Thank you for your answer, I appreciate. It confirms that I have to create a CTI port, but the question is more why I cannot enter the route pattern/hunt pilot directly in the call direct hunt group like we use to do before rel 4. In the Cisco doc, I haven't found a place where is say to input a CTI port when we wan to fwd calls to voice mail from a hunt group. So, I'm not sure if it's a product intent or a bug.

In Unity create Call Routing rule to transfer calls to specific subscriber. Enter your Hunt Group Pilot as "Calling Number (ANI)" in the Direct Calls call routing rule, and "Send call to" select the subscriber.
