Host name change on secondary CER

The host name was changed on the secondary CER and the original hostname deleted from the primary. When we reboot the secondary the primary still sees the original hostname of the secondary. Is the problem on the primary or secondary? My initial thought is that the original hostname is buried in SQL and the secondary should be rebuilt. Thanks for your help in advance.

I think name change is not supported in CER, just as it is not supported for CCM.

Netbios name is in fact in SQL master database.

Here are the instructions how to change server name in SQL http://www.sqlservercentral.com/columnists/bknight/renameserver.asp

If CER database has any references to the old name then you might have to rebuild.

Are you suggesting that both primary and secondary CERs will need to be rebuilt?

One VERY important thing that I need to point out is that we are dealing with Emergency Responder. A shortcut here may work but if it does not, you are looking at lost lives. Do it the right way - rebuild.
