Got a client that would like to setup Hottelling for multiple users. All the user will have mobile phones but they will share a deskphone among 5 users. They want the user to be able to come into the office, login to the Cisco phone, make their alloted calls and leave the office. My question: Does each user have to have the phone license to use the phone? We are purchasing 6921 phones with the basic license so would I have to buy 1 license per user or could I just purchase 1 license for all 5 users. Also, could I get the same functionality from the Jabber client on the Smartphone....meaning, if the user wants to receive their calls could I just use the Jabber client on the smartphone, or would I have to buy some type of license on the UC server to allow this? Thanks! BTW, the client is looking for the best option cut back on the cost of buy each of the users a license.
