Hi Everybody,
I just want to ask the best way for configuring edge switch 3550 or 3560 with cisco ip phone and pc attached together to its ports.
which one is better:
configuring ports as trunk and define voice vlan and native vlan for data.
Or configuring the port as access port for the data vlan plus definig voice vlan.
Any one could help me.

I have seen both methods being used in the voip world. One advantage i can see with the access port for data vlan and a separate voice vlan type design is that, you can simply plug a PC straight into the switch port and it will work. In the former case, since the port is trunk port, only IP Phones can be connected to them and the PCs will have to be connected behind the phone.
