How to configure SMTP for CARD REPORTS with a Public SMTP

Hello Guys

I am trying to send CARD REPORTS to my email using an SMTP PUBLIC SERVER HOTMAIL with this information that I found in Internet.

• Server Name SMTP Hotmail: smtp.live.com (40.97.152.34)
• Username SMTP Hotmail: your Hotmail account
• Password de SMTP Hotmail: su Password Account Hotmail
• Port SMTP Hotmail: 25 o 465

And in the configuration under system --> system parameters --> Mail Parameteres I filled it with the following information:

• Mail ID:                                    My account without @hotmail.com
• Password:                                My Password Account
• Confirm Password:                   My Password Account again
• Mail Domain:                            40.97.152.34
• Mail Domain Server:                 40.97.152.34

But when I try to send email I got the following error message:

Error Code	Error Description
10011	System Error. Contact System Administrator.

I can't use a public SMTP? The configuration is wrong?

what version of CUCM, i see some bug around same error:

if not bug for your version, do you have any FW in between from DEvice to internet ?

I have the following version 

10.5.2.14901-1

And I have two firewall, one in my computer but it is disable and one in the company but I have all open ports so I am not beeing blocked.

Something I really don't know is If in the Mail Domain and Mail Server Name is the same, do you know that?

Try below option (if no FW blocking).

• Mail ID:                                    My account without @hotmail.com <<- try user@hotmail.com or only user
• Password:                                My Password Account
• Confirm Password:                   My Password Account again
• Mail Domain:                            smtp.live.com
• Mail Domain Server:                smtp.live.com

Hello 

I created a private SMTP and I could send the email.

I think the problem is that hotmail doesn't use port 25 to SMTP because port 25 is unencrypted data, the same to gmail and yahoo, so I think the only solution is to use a private SMTP.
