I have a deceased ephone which shows up in a 'show ephone' as deceased. This ephone is not in the config. I cannot change the mac address of this ephone as it says that is is registered, however it is not. Does not appear in a show ephone registered. I have tried removing it with a 'no ephone', resetting and restarting the ephone from ephone configuration mode. Does anyone know how to clear a deceased ephone so that i can again use this ephone number? Also will this happen when replacing faulty phones over or should I just be able to change the mac address of an ephone in cme?

I think I recall this occuring a while back and that an IOS upgrade resolved this. I don't recall the version I ugraded from or two. Sorry, that's the best I have.
